Matfen Hall to Host PGA Super 60s Championship

Northumberland golf estate Matfen Hall is honoured to be hosting the PGA Super 60s Championship from 1st-3rd August. The Super 60s field is made up of teams of a professional and amateur over the age of 60, with former Ryder Cup players Lionel Platts and Bernard Hunt amongst previous participants.

First played in 1994, the Super 60s event has been highly popular for older players seeking to continue playing in a competitive environment. Previous venues to have hosted this prestigious event include Rudding Park, Gleneagles (Queens), Forest Pines and Blackwell Golf Club.

Matfen Hall is a 27-hole estate, comprising of three individual 9-hole courses. The competition will take place on its Douglas and Standing Stone courses, while Dewlaw will still be open to members and guests throughout the tournament.
