The Oaks has matured into one of the best golf courses in the area, playing host to many county and national golf tournaments. In 2021 The Oaks was selected by England Golf to host the Northern qualifying for the prestigious Brabazon trophy, where the best amateur golfers in the country were competing. In 2025 The Oaks will host the English Men’s Champion Club, another of England Golf’s elite championships.
With over 50 bunkers, 8 lakes, and tree lined fairways, every hole at The Oaks is memorable and the course certainly doesn’t lack features. The course can offer the perfect blend of golf for all abilities. The yellow and red tees offer a good but fair test, perfect for society, corporate and visitor golf. The blue and white tees at the Oaks offer a demanding course that can be set up to test the scratch golfers.
