Left handed golf society

Did you know there was a golf society dedicated to the left handed golfers amongst us? The British Left Handed Golfers Association or in short The Lefties.

As with all golf societies is very much about fun & friendship & meet up once a month between April & October.

Courses on the fixture list this year include Worksop, Portpatrick, Sickleholme, Cotswolds, Willesley Park, Cavendish, Rotherham & Druids Heath.

Formed in 1959 it has today approx 150 members and is part of a wider community under the umbrella of the World Association of Left Handed Golfers

There is even a World Championship event open to all left handers. Present World Champion being Raffaele Positano of Switzerland who was crowned World Champion in 2022 in Paris. The next World Championship is in 2024 in Vietnam.
